CUL DE SAC EXPERIENCE

One of the most talked about and well-documented events of Modernism Week Fall Preview is the Cul de Sac Experience, produced by Creative Director Tom Dolle and Palm Springs Automobilist Jeff Stork. This time capsule event transforms a circle in the architecturally significant Canyon View Estates into a wayback machine with classic cars, houses on tour, period music, go-go dancers and spectators dressing the part. Branded to within an inch of its life, this visually stimulating event encapsulates the very essence of midcentury modern Palm Springs. A key photograph taken at the event by photographer Jev Pic has become the newly iconic image of Palm Springs cool.
