POOLSIDE PRIDE

Using the iconic 1970 photograph Poolside Gossip by Slim Aarons as a starting point (the location is Palm Springs’ historic 1946 Kaufmann House by architect Richard Neutra), Tom Dolle created the collage POOLSIDE PRIDE by asking “what if eighteen of the most well-known historical LGBTQ+ icons got together poolside in Palm Springs?” The image was blown up as a digital perforated window mural across the facade of Destination PSP for several weeks as part of November's Palm Springs Pride celebration starting in 2020.
